Geography and History

Located in the Kweneng District of Botswana, Gabane is a village originally home to BaMalete tribe. In Gabane, the elder population is still very much into agriculture while the younger generations are more urbanized.

Citizens of Gabane are known as Gabaneans.

Gabane is well known for her vibrant night life as well as lively music scene and  contemporary fashion trends. The village has produced several live bands like Matsieng and Franco and Afro Music. The Gabaneans are passionate football followers. Their pride team  is the Uniao Flamengo Santos, plays in the National Premier League
