Geography and History
Letlhakane is a town situated in the Central District of Botswana.
The meaning of the word Letlhakane is "little reads".
The Letlhakane diamond mine is a mine found in Botswana about 190 kilometers west of Francistown, a town in Botswana. The Letlhakane Diamond Mine is owned by Debswana, a partnership between the De Beers company and Botswana. It is the second oldest of the four mines operated by Debswana and the mine began operations in 1975.
